Daniel R. Keller Sr.
August 14, 1947 – March 19, 2019
March 19th the good Lord decided he had suffered enough and called him home. Preceded in death by parents, Robert R. and Marilyn J. Keller; brothers; Robert J. Jr and Steven W. Keller; Niece Michelle L. Keller and nephew David Keller. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and friends too numerous to name.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 48 years, Pamela J. Keller, sons, Daniel R. Keller Jr., Donald W., Russel D.(Lisa) Abram and Bobby(Tracy) Easley. Grandchildren, Kylee L. Keller, Samantha L, Bradley R., D. Collin (Willow) Abram, Dakota, and Sophie Kohman. One great-grandson, Donald Daniel Abram. One surviving brother, Thomas G Keller, his only sister, Tina M Keller Maxwell and multiple nieces and nephews.
Danny was a multifaceted man. He proudly served our country in the US Army 4th Infantry Division in Highlander Heights during the Vietnam War from 1968-1969.
Before and after that, Danny would be in the garage being the natural mechanic that he was. He was a highly skilled mechanic for Conrail before working and retiring after 30 years from Rolls Royce as a Journeyman electrician. He could fix just about anything except the many broken hearts that he leaves behind.
Boy Scouts of America was a passion for Danny. He was an assistant Scoutmaster where he guided, molded and influenced numerous young boys who became honorable and respected men. Many of those boys looked upon Danny as a father figure and mentor and hero. Some of his Scouts followed his footsteps into the military, of which he was very proud.
Calling Danny an avid outdoorsman was an understatement! If he was not camping, he was fishing, hunting, skiing, or building things from the ground up. Photography was also a great hobby for him and there are many memories captured for those to cherish.
Danny was a one-of-a-kind man that was generous, loving, loyal and gentle. He believed a person was only as good as their word. Danny was, loved, honored, cherished and respected by so many in his lifetime. He left his mark on the hearts of so many and missed by too many to count!
Our hearts are broken, our spirits are down, but we will love, honor and cherish your memory until we see you again.
Heaven became brighter upon his arrival and our world a little darker from his departure.
We will forever love you!
You will not be forgotten!
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Indiana Funeral Care South, 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Daniel. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
